Open Gym at Bayside Sports Academy
Open Gym is open to children ages 6 & under every Friday. $6/child. 9:00-11:00am.
First Friday Baby Boot Camp Class at Sundial
Join Baby Boot Camp St Pete at the Sundial every First Friday for a FREE class open to all moms. Babies and stroller aged kids are welcomed! 9:30am.
Terrific Tots at Great Explorations Children's Museum
This members-only program is offered when school is in session for children ages 1-3 and a caregiver. Join the museum for songs and movement, story time, an art or craft exploration and community time for tots and their adults! 9:30-10:00am.
Toddler Early Literacy Program at St. Petersburg Main Library
Join the library for story time featuring movement, music and fun with rhymes, stories, and puppets! For children ages 1 - 3 with a caregiver. 10:15am and 11:00am.
Snowman Mask Activity at Growing Up
Older toddlers and preschool-aged children can create their own snowman mask at Growing Up! This activity is included in the cost of a day pass or with membership, but please register in advance. 10:30-11:30am.
Preschool Story Time at Gulf Beaches Public Library
Preschool-aged children can enjoy songs, stories and crafts with a Hanukkah/lights theme! 10:30am.
Reading Fun Storytime at Childs Park Community Library
Children in grades PreK-2 and their caregivers are invited for stories, music and fun! 4:15-5:00pm.
S.T.R.E.A.M. Club at Childs Park Community Library
Explore Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math with hands-on science experiments, coding, stories, and more! For children in grades 3-5. 4:15-5:00pm.
Cookies for Santa Kids Night Out at Practically Pikasso
Drop your kids off for some creative fun at Kids Night Out! Cost is $25 per child (ages 5 & up) and includes a pottery project, reindeer food making, Christmas movie, pizza and 2.5 hours of supervised fun. 6:00-8:30pm.
Boat Parade & Winter Festival at St. Pete Beach Community Center
Boat Parade Viewing Party to include music, art projects for children, and a special visit from SANTA! Free! 6:00-8:00pm.
Holiday Movies on the Beach at Archibald Memorial Beach Park
Join Madeira Beach Recreation at Archibald Memorial Beach Park for a holiday movie double feature to screen 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' and 'Home Alone!' 6:30-9:30pm.
Join makeme for a family art night! Choose a pre-sketched holiday design to paint alongside your loved ones. These designs, and more, will be available to choose from! Admission price reflects two participants (both parent and child ages 4 & up create their OWN artwork) and is a great way to MAKE memories! $25. 6:30-8:00pm.
Gingerbread Building at Barbara S. Ponce Public Library
This all-ages, family-oriented event gives you the opportunity express your creative and construction building skills. Decorating materials will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring your favorite treat(s) or specific item(s) for decorating. Don't forget your "ugly" holiday attire for the "worst" outfit contest. Registration by phone is required. 6:30-8:00pm.
St. Pete Shuffle at St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club
Friday nights are free and open to the public at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club! Bring your own food and beverages and enjoy the courts. 7:00-10:00pm.
Holiday Movie in the Park at Vinoy Park
Get your family and friends in the holiday spirit by joining St. Petersburg Parks and Recreation for a holiday movie in Vinoy Park! A Christmas Story is on the big screen starting at 7pm. Admission is FREE & open to the public! 7:00-10:00pm.
Coal: An Original Christmas Musical at Back Door Theater
Coal is an original holiday musical about Coal, the elf in charge of the naughty list. He's a little guy with big dreams! Coal's big ideas make a big mess of things and only teamwork can save Christmas. Performances Friday, December 7 at 6pm & Saturday, December 8 at 2pm and 6pm.
"Yuletide Skies" at the SPC Planetarium & Observatory
Be sure to visit SPC's Yuletide planetarium decorated for the holiday season! Go back in time 2000 years to see astronomical events that may have inspired the Biblical account of the "Christmas Star." Friday shows are free, but children must be at least 5 years old to attend. 7:00pm & 8:15pm.

Christmas Marketplace at Grace Lutheran Church & School
Christmas is coming! Is your shopping done? Stop by the Christmas Marketplace on Saturday, December 8 to find the perfect gift! Handmade gifts, arts & crafts, sweets, treats, food trucks, face painting for the kids and more! 9:00am-3:00pm.
Saturday Morning Market at Al Lang Stadium
This lively and huge outdoor market is open from October to May in the parking lot of Al Lang Stadium. Live music, a variety of vendors and a strong sense of community make this market the heart of St. Pete. 9:00am-2:00pm.
Breakfast with Santa at Jim & Heather Gills YMCA
Come in to the Jim & Heather Gills YMCA to have breakfast and take photos with Santa! This is a free family event open to all. Breakfast provided by Panera Bread. 9:00-11:00am.
Toddler Yoga at The Body Electric Yoga Company
This is a great opportunity to introduce your toddler to breathing, stretching, story-time, coloring and yoga postures. Through fun interactive songs, storybooks, and movement, kids ages 1 to 4 will learn basic yoga with their caregiver. One free kid per BE Member; kids with non-members and extra kids are $8/each. Guardians are free! 9:00-9:45am.
Nature's Elements at Boyd Hill Nature PreserveChildren ages 3 to 6 will enjoy nature walks, tram rides, program animals, art, games, songs, and stories with environmental educator in this drop-off program with Amalia Fernand from Nature Explorers International. Nature Explorers, from 1 to 4pm, will have similar activities tailored for ages 7 to 12. Cost is $15. 9:30am-12:30pm.
Holiday Hoopla in Downtown Gulfport
Holiday Hoopla is a celebration of arts, crafts, foods, live music and roving holiday characters set in the downtown Gulfport waterfront atmosphere amid bright, twinkling, colorful lights. Stroll the decorated streets filled with talented exhibitors and unique shops. The festival will provide shoppers with one-of-a-kind gifts that cannot be found anywhere else, and all of your holiday shopping can be done in one place! 10:00am-5:00pm. Snow Blast at Tyrone Square

Paint Me a Story Time at Practically Pikasso
Listen to the classic Christmas story Rudolph then choose from a reindeer bowl (perfect for reindeer food!) or a salad plate for handprint reindeer fun - or paint both!! Perfect for pint size painters and their parents. $15 per painter in advance or $18 for walk-ins. 10:30-11:30am.
2nd Saturday ARTcart at Imagine Museum
Inspired by innovation and collaboration, the Imagine ARTcart brings families together once a month to explore art and creative thinking in fun and exciting ways. This month, get inspired during a tour of Paul Stankard’s Unseen Worlds glass art exhibition then discover printmaking methods by creating scenes from nature using bubble wrap and your imagination. Christmas Parade and Santa's Visit to Whoville at St. Pete Beach
Join Santa along St. Pete Beach's Christmas Parade route! The parade starts at St. Pete Beach City Hall (155 Corey Ave) and heads west down Corey Ave, south on Blind Pass Rd, east on 73rd to Bay Street and back to City Hall. There will be art projects, movie and a special visit from Santa at the end of the parade so be sure to follow Santa to the fun! 11:00am.
Little Surrealists Tour at The Dali Museum
Kids ages 4-11 are invited to bring their families on a special 1-hour Museum tour. Free with museum admission. 11:00am-12:00pm.
Saturday Stories at St. Petersburg Main Library
Join the St. Petersburg Main Library for stories, music and a cool craft for kids in grades PK-2. 11:00am-12:00pm.
Storytime at Barnes & Noble
Join Barnes & Noble for a storytime and activities featuring "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." 11:00am.
Let It Snow Canvas at Growing Up
Let it Snow! Create a snowman with those cute little tootsies. Personalized hand lettered name available for an additional $3. This is a Premium Craft and is half price for members. If you are not a member, it is the day pass plus an additional $3 for supplies per child. 11:30am-12:30pm.
DillyDally with Dali at The Dali
Children ages 4-11 can discover the creative world of Dali through games, puzzles and arts + crafts activities which educate and encourage family interaction. Cost is free. 12:00-2:30pm.
Kids' Holiday Party at Gulf Beaches Public Library
Join the fun! Gulf Beaches Library is having a holiday pizza party with crafts and a visit from Santa! 12:00-2:00pm.
WinterFest and Tree Lighting in Seminole
Come slide down a Florida style snowhill at Seminole's WinterFest at the Holland G. Mangum Recreation Complex! Enjoy FREE bounce houses, FREE kid's make and take crafts, FREE Hay Ride's and more! City of Seminole Christmas Tree will be lit at 7pm sharp. Santa will also arrive at 7pm. 3:00-9:00pm.
Disney's "The Little Mermaid Jr." Presented by St. Pete MAD
Join St. Pete Music, Acting and Dance under the sea at Catherine A. Hickman Theater as the Junior troupe of performers present "The Little Mermaid Jr." Tickets are on sale for the performances put on by the 6 - 12 year old actors. This show is sure to be fin-tastic fun for the whole family! 3:00pm & 6:30pm.
Holiday Extravaganza & Tree Lighting at Seminole City Center
Experience a taste of the holidays, Santa Claus, multiple holiday workshops, hot chocolate station, holiday season fashion show, kids zone, raffles, giveaways and much more at Seminole City Center! All activities are free for patrons. . 4:00-7:00pm.
Holiday Open House at Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum
The Dr. Carter G. Woodson Museum is hosting its annual Holiday Open House featuring photos with Santa and a toy drive to benefit local charities and hurricane victims. 5:00-9:00pm.
Join the City of Pinellas Park for the 46th Annual Pinellas Park Christmas Parade! Enjoy 100+ units featuring local businesses, dance units, scouting troops, car clubs, high school marching bands, and much more! Don't miss a special appearance by Santa Claus himself. 6:00-8:00pm.
Join the Boca Ciega Yacht Club for the 33rd Annual Gulfport Christmas Parade following the Holiday Hoopla. 6:00-8:00pm.
Night Hike at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve
Join preserve rangers for a popular guided night hike. Explore the preserve after hours in a small group setting. Look for alligators, listen for bats and search for scorpions! $5 per adult, $3 per child. 6:00pm.
"Festival of Lights" Boat Parade at Madeira Beach
The 52nd Annual Madeira Beach "Festival of Lights" Boat Parade begins at ROC Park at 6:30pm.

Great Connections at Great Explorations Children's Museum
Great Explorations Children’s Museum will open early for children with special needs and their families to enjoy Great Connections, a sensory-friendly event. Great Explorations will close to the public, offer discounted admission and provide a “cool down” room for families who need to take a break. This month, community partner Your Kid's Urgent Care will provide a holiday photo area for families to use their own phones to take a holiday photo. Free members or $5 per person. 10:00am-12:00pm.
Maccabee Makerspace at Chabad Jewish Center
Make a spinning dreidel-bot, help build a jumbo s’more menorah, and join in for the lighting ceremony! Anything is possible in Chabad Jewish Center's Maccabee Makerspace! Free but reservations required. 11:00am-12:30pm.
Alligator Walk at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve
Learn about the American alligator, Florida’s state reptile, which calls our wetlands home on this guided walk through the preserve. $3/adult or $1.50/child. 11:30am.
Family Yoga Class at Peace of Yoga
Kidding Around Yoga Classes with Desiree utilize yoga poses creatively tucked into partner yoga, games and activities, original music, stories and more. This yoga class is specifically designed for kids ages 2 & up. Donations accepted. 11:30am-12:30pm.
AWAPS Santa Luncheon at Albert Whitted Airport
Join the Albert Whitted Airport Preservation Society for a special holiday lunch at the Hangar Restauraunt! Santa will arrive by helicopter and families can enjoy holiday activities and photos with Santa. Tickets are $10 per person; reservations must be made by December 7th. 12:00-2:30pm.
Sundays at the Morean Center for Clay
Sundays @ The Morean is a free family drop-in clay play session hosted by the Morean Center for Clay. Clay, tools and working tables provided, please bring your imagination. This session is open to all families with children ages 3 & up. 1:00-3:00pm.
4-Point Ornament Workshop at Florida CraftArt
Children and families, join Florida CraftArt a Creative Discovery Workshop of ornament making! This workshop is hosted by Tampa Bay Basketmakers Guild and taught by artist Emily Stehle. Students will be assembling a woven ornament called a 4 point, God's Eye, or Ojo de Dios in Spanish. It is considered a magical object and is an ancient cultural symbol for the Huichol and Tepehuan Indians of western Mexico. Students will learn historical references and technical skills involved with this particular ornament. Cost is $5/members or $10/non-members. Call Florida CraftArt to reserve your spot! 1:30-3:30pm.
